ODE is the Oregon Chapter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. It serves the State of Oregon and welcomes members from neighboring states. It is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization that is made up of health care professionals , corporate sponsors, and individuals with diabetes who have an interest in diabetes.
Mission Statement:
- To provide educational opportunities for the professional growth of diabetes educators.
- To promote and aid quality diabetes education for the person with diabetes.
- To foster collaboration among individuals and organizations involved in diabetes education

Oregon Diabetes Educators is going GREEN. This is the last environmentally offensive ( paper) newsletter. Beginning in 2009 you can access all the local diabetes educator news on the Oregon Educators website: www.ODE.net.org
You will have access 24/7 to the most current information as it happens. Kirsten Gram will be our Web Master, but she will be depending on you, the members of ODE to feed her timely information. There is a location on the web for you to notify her of upcoming educational events, job postings, legislative activity, local recognition, anything you want to share with your colleagues. We envision ODEnet.org to be on the “favorites list of every Oregon educator!
